Faith in the shadows

In a place where it’s dangerous to follow Jesus and sharing God’s Word is forbidden, it’s rare to hear from those who join us on the Bible Bus. So, let’s celebrate this story from a fellow listener who wishes to be called Selah:
“I’ve known the Lord secretly for a few months. I was trying to locate a place to learn about my new faith and the Holy Bible, and your program is an answer to prayer. I listen to it all the time when I’m alone. I try to write down some notes to pray about them and dwell on them to live according to the Lord’s will, but I have to be careful.”
Today as we pray for Selah and all those in Yemen who quietly seek the Lord, we can focus on:
- Strength and perseverance: Pray they remain strong in their faith, despite challenges, opposition, and isolation.
- Protection and safety: Ask God to shield them from persecution, violence, and discrimination due to their faith.
- Fellowship and community: Pray they find fellowship with other believers and opportunities to worship together, even in secret.
- Wisdom and discernment: Pray for wisdom in sharing their faith wisely and safely in environments that are hostile to Christianity.
- Spiritual growth: Ask God to deepen their understanding of Scripture and strengthen their relationship with Him through His Word. As they study with us, may they find hope of a new day where they openly praise His name.
Our journey in prayer ends tomorrow … and then we begin again. Join us as we wrap up 2024 and prepare for 2025.
