A Christmas gift from Cambodia
December 25, 2024
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. –John 1:14
Did you hear the Christmas greeting from Gregg and Steve on the Bible Bus today? If not, be sure to listen. As we pause the holiday festivities, let’s take a moment to thank God for the many new faces on the Bible Bus including Sopheap, a 35-year-old primary school teacher from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Here’s her story:
“I want to tell you how your program has impacted my life. It all started when I found the program by accident during my daily commute. At first, I was just curious, but soon I became very interested. The teachings helped me understand the Bible better, including its history and context, which I never really understood before. This has made a big difference.”
As Sopheap continued to learn more about God’s Word, she saw how it began to influence her daily life and work. She continues:
“Now, I use biblical principles in my everyday life and in my teaching. These teachings have strengthened my faith and have also had a positive effect on my students. I notice they behave better and approach their studies more seriously.”
This Christmas let’s celebrate the powerful truth that Jesus, the Word made flesh, continues to dwell among us—bringing hope, grace, and new life to those who believe on His name.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the countless lives that are being changed through Your Word. We praise You for the work You are doing in Cambodia and around the world, drawing people closer to You.
As we reflect on the gift of Jesus, may we remember that Your Word is alive and active, guiding and shaping lives today. Help us all to live by Your truth and reflect Your love to those around us. In Jesus' name, amen.
Merry Christmas from all of us at THRU the BIBLE!
