Praying Romans 12:2 over addictions

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. -Romans 12:2
Our prayer journey through eastern Africa begins with a stop in Malawi where we meet with Charles who listens to THRU the BIBLE in his language of Chichewa. He shares:
“I greet you with the peace of our Lord. I would like to thank God for the opportunity He has given me since 2015 to listen to this program. I was addicted to marijuana and cigarettes for 20 years. The teaching that I have heard on this program has changed my life. I am now free from my addictions. Blessed are you who preach the truth and encourage us to follow it.”
Let’s pray specifically for those trapped in addiction. Ask God to reach into their lives, just as He did with Charles, and begin the process of renewing their minds. Pray that they develop a deeper hunger for Him, surpassing the temporary satisfaction their addictions once provided. Above all, pray that they find hope and freedom through the truth of Scripture.
