Pray God’s Word runs swiftly through Sierra Leone
September 18, 2024
He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly. -Psalm 147:15
In 1785, Sierra Leone became the first west African nation to hear the gospel. Today only 11% of the population calls Jesus their Lord. Sixty-seven percent (that number is steadily increasing) follow Islam and occult practices, and other ethnic religions are commonly combined with both Islam and Christianity.
Today as you pray for God’s Word to be spread throughout Sierra Leone, be sure to thank Him for the work He’s doing in the lives of fellow listeners like Patrick who writes:
“I thank God for your service with love, courage, and patience. I am blessed by what God is doing in my life through your insights into His Word. I forever remain grateful to God for your entire staff, donors, and those who pray for this five-year journey to continue. Count me among your warriors kneeling before the throne asking for His grace upon people of every nation.”
A listener finds freedom in God’s Word. Hear his story tomorrow as we travel to Benin.
