From Ukraine: “Alcohol use began to consume my life”

“Everything seems to be good in my life, I have everything, so I couldn’t figure out why I drank so much.”
That’s the conversation Yeva, who hops aboard the Bible Bus in Ukraine, recently had with our team. Here’s more of their conversation:
“I didn’t know what’s wrong with me. I started drinking—a lot, and often. I was doing well at work, but sometimes couldn’t go in because I drank so much over the weekend. Alcohol use began to consume my life. I wanted to pray but I didn’t know how. Thank you for your many conversations that helped me understand God’s love for me and for His sacrifice on the cross. I have listened to the programs and am ready to become a Christian. I didn’t realize that God could be this close, and because of that I no longer want to drink as much. Please pray this is a permanent change. Thank you so much!”
Please pray for Yeva and all those on the Bible Bus who are taking their first steps with Jesus Christ and towards a new life. May His Spirit guide them as they study God’s Word and help them overcome the temptations that will keep them from drawing closer to Him.
