Praying Isaiah 64:8 in Nepal

August 29, 2024

But now, O Lord,You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand. -Isaiah 64:8

“I have become clay in His hands.”

That’s what we hear from a Home Group member in Nepal. Here’s the rest of his story:

“I grew up in a big family and poor background. I first heard the name of Jesus when I was around 14 years old, but I couldn’t figure out what was being said. In March 2022, I heard your programs and began my Christian faith. Your teaching made the Bible interesting and understandable. Within the Home Group we solidified our faith together. I now want my character and the course of my life to be molded and shaped only by God’s hands. I am grateful to be work in the Potter’s hands.”

In both the Old and New Testaments, God uses the imagery of the potter and clay to teach us about our relationship with Him. Let’s thank Him that when we surrender our lives to Him, He shapes us according to His purpose. And pray for THRU the BIBLE Home Groups in Nepal that meet and grow each day.

Father, thank You that You are in control. Like clay in Your hands, we surrender our lives for You to mold. Use Your Word to push us, press us, and transform us to be more like Jesus. We pray this for our lives and for all those in Nepal who hop aboard the Bible Bus each day. May the beauty of Your workmanship be evident in our lives so others are drawn to You. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.

Tomorrow we’ll visit with a Home Group in Bangladesh. You’re going to love them.
