Praying Psalm 32:7 United Arab Emirates

August 15, 2024

You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. -Psalm 32:7

God is on the move in the Middle East. This week we’ve seen it in Iraq, Syria, and Armenia, and today we’re praying for His work in the United Arab Emirates, where we rarely hear from those on the Bible Bus. There are many reasons we likely don’t hear from them, here are a just a few:

  • Sharing the gospel with family and friends is illegal in the UAE. Those who do can be arrested and deported.
  • All Emirati Christians risk losing inheritance, their homes, and their spouses.
  • Christians may be forced to marry Muslims, be fired, or placed under pressure to “work for free.”
  • Emirati Christians can be prosecuted for apostasy, which is considered a crime.

As we come before the Lord, let’s remember that the Bible is filled with stories of big obstacles (and human-sized giants). Thank the Lord that He overcomes, delivers, saves, heals, and so much more. As His Word goes out in Arabic, pray many more realize His power and believe on the name of Jesus Christ.

“After hearing God’s Word I had no other choice, I had to become a follower of Jesus Christ.” That’s the story of a young Muslim woman in Turkey. Hear more tomorrow on World Prayer Today.
