Anxiety does one good thing …
August 06, 2024
“Anxiety does one good thing: It shines a spotlight for us on how much we need the Lord.” That’s what Dr. J. Vernon McGee tells us in our booklet, “How to Have Peace in Anxious Times.”
That’s also what a listener on the Serbian Bible Bus shares:
“Through studying the book of Leviticus, I have realized that our daily actions reflect our faith. Reading the Bible has always been difficult for me; I struggle to find the motivation to pick it up and read, especially when it comes to reading and understanding the Old Testament. I know that God’s Word is our spiritual food, and that’s why I have been searching for ways to read the Holy Scriptures regularly. Now, I’ve found your programs, and they help me stay consistent because I understand what I am reading.
“As a person struggling with anxiety, this program has provided me with comfort and hope. I have realized how important it is to take care of my body, mind, and soul as the temple of God and that I can always find the peace I need in God’s presence. Now when I am anxious, I stop and spend more time with Him.”
Thank God for His Word that meets us at our greatest point of need. Pray all those who struggle with anxiety in Montenegro and around the world realize their need for Him. May they too find the comfort, hope, and rest only He provides in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
How often do you complain about your government? How often do you pray for it? That’s what we talk about tomorrow on World Prayer Today. See you in Italy.
