Fleeing for faith
May 30, 2024
Algeria to Canada is a big move, but Daha is grateful to have made it. Here’s her story:
“I know you were worried when I didn’t respond quickly, but as you know I faced a lot of persecution in my hometown and needed to leave quickly. I am now in Canada where I can study God’s Word with you freely, and my situation is much better. I am so grateful to the Lord for your prayers and His blessings. I know my tribulations are not over, but I will face them knowing He is faithful.”
More than 365 million (one in seven) Christians worldwide face high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith. Today praise God and pray for Daha and all those who have been forced to flee their homes because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Ask Him to provide the physical and emotional support they need. Through His Word and His people, may they find the hope and peace only God can provide.
Rituals and tribal practices hold many in Guam captive. Travel with us as we pray John 8:31-32 tomorrow.
