Praying for the isolated in Iran
May 23, 2024
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! -Psalm 150:6
We were created to love and worship God. Celebrating His presence and power as individuals and together as a church is one of the most rewarding experiences in the Christian life.
Today as we pray through Iran, Jaleh asks us to pray that soon she too can experience the joy of worshipping alongside others. Here’s her story:
“I am a follower of your program. The things I hear about the Lord are beautiful, and I want to worship in a church. In Iran, this is not possible. Please continue to guide me and pray for me. I know there have to be others who are Christians here. I wish to meet them.”
Jaleh isn’t the only one, but Christians in Iran are few. Anyone who converts from Islam is declared an apostate and can face death. Many Iranians are curious about the Bible, but Bibles and Christian printed materials are illegal. Today as God’s Word goes out in the language of Persian (Farsi), pray many hear it and surrender their lives to the Lord. As His people grow in numbers, ask Him to soften the hearts of Iranian leaders so all people are given the freedom to worship and study His Word together.
It's been a bumpy road for Bible Bus in Israel. Pray with us tomorrow.
