Prayer prompts for Oman

Our journey through the Middle East continues with a visit to Oman. It’s rare for THRU the BIBLE to hear from listeners in this Muslim-dominant country. In fact, it’s illegal to share the gospel with Muslims here, and it’s estimated that more than 77% of Omanis have never heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.
As you pray today, here are a few things to focus on:
- Very few Muslims in Oman have come to faith in Jesus Christ. The few who have face intense pressure to return to Islam. Pray for strength, discernment, and courage for those who meet opposition. These are your brothers and sisters in Christ. Christian converts must gather in secret small groups and use caution when sharing their faith. Ask God to protect them, encourage them, and grow them through His Word.
- Important decisions are made collectively as families, clans, and tribes. Pray that whole families will believe the gospel and be set free to worship together.
