Praying for safety and salvation in Uzbekistan
March 20, 2024
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” -Hebrews 13:5
“I carry my radio receiver in my bag wherever I go. Carrying a Bible can be risky and cumbersome, making the radio a practical choice.”
That's the good news we hear from a listener in Uzbekistan. Here's more of his story:
“Whether I’m at home working or on the move, I always have the radio on, and it provides me with great encouragement. I combine listening to your programs with reading the Bible, bringing me great joy. I have begun to tell others about this program. Please pray for my safety and their salvation.”
Believers in Uzbekistan are among the most persecuted in the world. There are approximately 25,000 Christians in dozens of unregistered churches facing persecution, arrest, and torture from targeted attacks by government-controlled media and police. Together let's thank God for this gentleman and all those who choose faith in Jesus despite the risk.
Heavenly Father, thank You for those in Uzbekistan who secretly listen to Your Word on THRU the BIBLE. We pray many more will hear it and be saved. As You build Your church in this hostile land, protect our brothers and sisters who face persecution. Give each of them Your peace and remind them of Your promise to never leave or forsake them. In times of trouble, comfort them and replace their fears and anxieties with Your joy and hope. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
“Help! My parents want me to marry a Muslim.” That’s the message we received from a listener in Tajikistan. Pray with us tomorrow.
