Is God enough?
January 11, 2024
For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip. -Psalm 18:31-36
When all you have is God, is it enough? That’s the question Lucy, a listener in China, recently wrestled with. Here’s her story:
“Many people have failed me, and I have been disappointed. Thank you for teaching me that God’s love never changes, and He alone is more than I need. Psalm 18:31-36 is my new favorite. As I read it, I am reminded that He does love me and will help me overcome in all circumstances. I am grateful for the God who loves us. It’s enough just to have Him … and you who points me to Him.”
Today pray more people in China hear God’s Word on THRU the BIBLE. Like Lucy, regardless of what life brings, may they too find peace in the knowledge that God alone is more than enough.
