“I was a street boy, and now I’m the son of a King”

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. -Philippians 2:9-11

Welcome, World Prayer Team. As our journey of praise continues, we meet with a listener in Ethiopia who shares his salvation story:
“Though I had parents, as a teenager I was living a vagabond lifestyle. I was rebellious and didn’t want to live with discipline. I would only come home sporadically and not for long. One day as I was home my mother was playing this program. I pretended not to listen, but I did. At the end you called listeners to live a life of redemption. I accepted. I praise my Lord Jesus Christ for saving me. Right then and there I bowed to Him and confessed Him as my Lord. I was a street boy, and now I’m the son of a King.”
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, thank Him for His death and resurrection that changed the course of our lives for now and eternity. Let’s pray together now:
Father, thank You for Jesus our Savior, our Lord and our God, who alone is worthy to receive all honor and praise. We pray more people in Ethiopia and around the world hear Your Word today draw close to You. As we do, help us to decrease so He may increase, until Jesus is the only thing others see in us. In His name, amen.
