But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. -1 Peter 3:15
“I was a very skeptical person, questioning the existence of God,” says James in Nairobi. He continues:
“One day a friend was listening to your program and nicely asked me to listen along. As a Muslim I was at first unsure, but this did not upset him, and by the end I wanted to know more. After listening for many months now, I have begun to see God's presence in my life and the world around me. I have decided that we are not here by accident; God created us in His image. In Him I have found peace and purpose. I cannot wait every day to listen and learn His Word with you.”
Isn’t that a great story? Thank God for the way He is using His Word in Kenya and throughout Africa. Pray more people hear it on THRU the BIBLE and overcome their doubts and objections. Together let’s pray 1 Peter 3:15 for all the skeptics in our lives.
Father, thank You for those in our lives who don’t yet know You. We pray by the power of Your Holy Spirit, You give us give the opportunity to share our love for You and answer any questions they may have. May our words and actions lead them closer to You and show them our respect and love. Guard our hearts and guide our speech. Give us wisdom to be able to humbly give a defense for our trust in Christ and to give an answer for the blessed hope He offers us through His sacrifice on the cross.
