“I’ve left Islam for Jesus”

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil. -Hebrews 6:19

As we travel on the Bible Bus and on the World Prayer Team, we often talk about our favorite metaphors for God and His Word. Annan from Syria recently shared hers:

“I’ve left Islam for Jesus. I’ve been following THRU the BIBLE’s social media posts, and I’m growing in my faith from the teachings. God is now my anchor. In His Word I find stability and hope. Any trouble or trial I face, I know He will keep me tethered and safe.

 “As I’ve grown in knowledge, I’m telling others about Jesus. I get a lot of questions about The Song of Songs. Many Muslims use it to attack our belief. Thank you for your teachings that help me answer.

“I’m letting you know all this because you are widely being shared because of your clear teaching to all the converts and also the nominal Christians. People tell me that through this program and your social media they now understand the gospel and Christianity well.

“Thank you. We appreciate your efforts to post, stream, and follow up.”

Praise God for the new life of this listener and all those who have joined the family of God in 2023. Together let’s thank Him that He holds us steady in both the smooth and choppy waters of life.

Father, thank You for being the steadfast anchor in our lives. We are grateful You are always there even when life seems out of control, and we feel like we are drifting. Thank You for keeping us close and tied to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
