He waits with open arms

Therefore, say to them, “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Return to Me,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” -Zechariah 1:3
Welcome, Prayer Team. Today as our journey of praise continues, we stop and rejoice with a listener in Africa who joins us on the Bible Bus in Kinyarwanda. She shares:
“I turned my back on God and was living life to please myself. After a time, it was not satisfying. I felt empty. One day I heard your teaching and began to think about my life. I decided it was time to read the Bible again. I was apprehensive at first, but you made it easy. With each message I learned more and had a desire to pray. I am happy to say I am now back in church and feel as though my life’s mission is to share the forgiveness I have received from God with others. Thank you for everything.”
Thank God that He’s willing to forgive us when we walk away from Him and will welcome us home. Today as we thank Him for the return of this sister, together let’s pray for all those we know and love who have strayed from the Lord:
Father, thank You for Your unfathomable grace and mercy. We are grateful for the lessons we learn from the foolish mistakes of Israel and the reminder in Zechariah 1:3 that You remain faithful to welcome us home with open arms. We ask You to open the eyes of those who have walked away. Give them a desire to return to You and an understanding of Your willingness to receive them. Our hearts are burdened, but we trust in Your plan. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
