How can a young man cleanse his way?By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. -Psalm 119:9-11
Living for God in this crazy world is a challenge. But there is a solution. That’s what Audrey from Japan has to tell us today. Here’s her story.
“I am a politician and a businesswoman. Each day I see so much human ugliness. People are angry, depressed, unkind. They want to argue about small matters and escalate them into full-blown wars. I am grateful that at the end of the day my husband and I can sit together and cleanse ourselves in the Word of God. We come to this study haggard and lifeless and at the end we are renewed. Thank you for the gift of getting us into God’s Word. It gets us through each day.”
That’s good advice. Together let’s thank God for His Word that gets us through each day, too.
Father, thank You for the way Your Word cleanses, renews, and teaches us how to live before You and for You. Help us to seek You each day and not get distracted from Your ways. As we study together, hide Your Word in our hearts so we do not sin against You. Give us hearts that long for You and want to please You. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
