God does hear us

Evening and morning and at noonI will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice. -Psalm 55:17
Let’s face it: Life can be downright difficult, and sometimes it can be easy to wonder if God even cares. That’s what a listener in Indonesia struggled with. Here’s his story:
“Where is God when I need Him? I asked that question many, many times. I knew I should always rely on Him in all situations, but it can be hard. Then I listened to your programs and began to pray and frequently share my sorrows and concerns with the Lord.
“Very slowly I began to see many difficult things in my life resolve … or at least my fear of them resolved. Through your teaching I have come to realize that God does hear my prayers. He does not always answer in the ways I desire, but He cares. I am grateful He provided a job when I needed one. I am grateful for the medical care I am receiving even though I do not like my disease. I am grateful He offers me eternal life that is more important than anything else. And I am grateful He has given your instruction so I can understand His Word better. Please pray I continue to trust Him.”
As we pray for this listener and all those struggling to trust Him with their hurts, thank Him today for His promise found in Psalm 55:17. As we cry out to Him, may we rest in the knowledge that He does hear us, He does care, and He is available to comfort us when we call upon His name.
