God’s Word is bearing spiritual fruit in Bolivia
April 25, 2023
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. -Psalm 1:1-3
As we spend time with Jesus and get to know Him better through His Word, His thoughts become our thoughts. His purpose becomes our purpose. We become like Jesus and bear spiritual fruit. That’s what we hear in Psalm 1, and it’s also what we hear from Carlos in Bolivia. He writes:
“I live in the municipality of Punata, a community famous nationally for producing the sweetest and juiciest peaches in all of Bolivia. Here I listen to your programs each Monday to Friday. This week we are studying the book of Luke. I thank God for each of you who take part in this program. The Bible study for my life is like fresh water that runs through the irrigation canal and reaches the plants and crops to make everything grow and bear fruit.
“Every time I listen, I learn what God does for all mankind and especially for me, and it makes me want to share it with others. For that reason, I do not want to miss any program. I am always following you. Thank you very much, dear pastors. If you could visit me in the month of February, we will be waiting for you with a basket of San Benito peaches and a heartfelt embrace. Thank you for showing us the heart of the Father and for helping bear fruit in our own lives.”
Pray today God’s Word bears fruit in all who hear in Bolivia and around the world. With each study may we become more like Him and prosper for His glory and purposes.
Tomorrow we’re praying for sound doctrine to take root in Argentina. Join us.
